STEP 1: Purchase Nordic Body’s Home-Study course “ Learn Nordic Walking at Home”.
This at-home course in Nordic Walking delivers a progressive learning method developed by Malin Svensson, one of
the four INWA International Coaches in the world.
Following the systematic approach on the 80 minute DVD and the 7 audio CDs, integrated with Malin’s book Nordic
Walking published by Human Kinetics in 2009, you will become proficient in Basic and Fitness Nordic Walking.
The skills you learn can be applied to any age and any fitness level and it can be used as a tool in cross training for
athletes, rehab after injuries, weight loss for anyone and improving gait and balance.
This comprehensive package includes warm-up exercises, techniques, correcting common mistakes and cool-down
stretches. The CDs also provide workouts. Each one differs in length, difficulty, and theme; helping beginners
through advanced Nordic Walkers optimize their technique.
STEP 2: Purchase NWNA’s (Nordic Walking North America) “Certification at Home” including:
NWNA Nordic Walking Instructor Manual
Take the NWNA Written Test
Send us a video of your Nordic Walking technique and teaching method.
This at-home certification process in Nordic Walking by NWNA will make it possible for you to teach people Nordic
Walking.
Nordic Walking North America (NWNA) is a member of the International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA), which is
the official worldwide international federation in the world promoting Nordic Walking.
This certification package includes the NWNA Nordic Walking Instructor Manual, the NWNA Written Test and a review
of the video you submit of your Nordic Walking technique and teaching method.
STEP 3: Receive 1.3 CEU ACE and 1.3 CEU NWNA
After you have completed the “Learn Nordic Walking at Home” course you will receive 1.3 CEU from ACE and after
you have completed the “Certification at Home” you will receive 1.3 CEU from NWNA.
STEP 4: Become a Certified INWA Nordic Walking Instructor (based on video feedback)
After we have approved of your written test and Malin Svensson, an INWA International Coach, has approved the
content of the video, you will become a Certified INWA Nordic Walking Instructor (if you are a certified fitness
professional) or a NWNA Nordic Walking Guide.
